Parent Workshops
Helping Your Child Develop Critical Thinking Skills©
All parents want the best for their children. Often, in an attempt to protect them from making mistakes, parents "tell" their children how to act and feel, and what they "should" or "should not" be doing. To be successful in the 21st Century, children need to develop and effectively apply critical thinking skills to every aspect of their lives. Research shows "telling" does not allow children to develop the critical thinking, accountability, and decision making skills needed to succeed in the adult world. Through engaging activities and thought provoking discussions and sharing, participants learn and practice proven techniques which teach children "how to think", and not the more traditional approach, "what to think".
